No, we’re not starting a delivery service, but we are relaunching an educational series that will equip you to make a stellar cup of coffee in the comfort of your own home and bathrobe. We’ll guide you in the fundamentals of buying, storing, grinding, and brewing and help you get the best at home as well as at NEAT.

Coffee, Chocolate & Handsome

What more could you ask for on a Thursday night?

Come to NEAT this Thursday (August 11) at 8pm to meet the famous Michael Phillips, taste delicious coffees paired with chocolate, and enjoy a late night espresso prepared by the World Barista Champion himself.

Michael is going to be spending a bit of time this week right here in CT, working with us in our constant pursuit of delicious coffee and positively delightful service. We are thrilled to be able to host him at NEAT and look forward to introducing you to one of the Handsome guys and several Handsome coffees

He’ll be working behind the espresso machine at NEAT a bit as well, so look for him on Friday and Saturday!

Meet Michael Phillips
In addition to being one of the nicest guys you’ve ever met, Michael also has quite a resume in the world of specialty coffee. After winning the US Barista Competition in 2009 and 2010, he took home the World Barista Championship in 2010, making him the first (and only!) from the good ol’ US of A to ever win the WBC. Michael ran the training program at Intelligentsia Coffee & Tea prior to co-founding Handsome Coffee Roasters earlier this year with two of his cohorts from Intelligentsia.

Dog Days of August

Just for a bit (thru Sunday, August 14), we’re going to be closing up shop early each day: 1pm Mondays-Saturdays and 2pm on Sundays. However, we’re still here for you every morning; let’s be honest, we’d miss you too much to close completely! We’ll be busy sprucing up, training up, and resting up for back to school season. But if you find yourself needing a fix during afternoon hours or vacation away, just ask us during your morning visit about NEAT to-go; we’ll set you up with a snazzy glass bottle full of deliciousness.
